Exercise your right to vote! The Alaska Sports Hall of Fame public vote occurs each November on this website. Public opinion will be the equivalent to the vote of one Selection Panel member. Each year the accumulative vote of the public will be totaled and a ballot created ranking the public's top ten choices for People, and top five choices for Moments and Events. This ballot will be equal to one Selection Panel member's ballot.

This ballot will be equal to one Selection Panel member's ballot.
To be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame a person shall have distinguished himself or herself through his or her involvement in the realm of sports in such a manner that the person's achievements have brought positive attention to himself or herself, their community, the State of Alaska and its people. All individuals inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame shall have brought pride especially, but not exclusively, to the people of Alaska through their achievements in the realm of sport. People will be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame based on the consideration of the level of achievement attained in the realm of sport and the degree of positive impact their achievements have had on the State of Alaska and its people. The following shall not be considered as criteria for or against nomination or selection: (a) where the person was born; (b) where the person accomplished his or her most notable feats; (c) the state residency status of the person; (d) whether or not the person is retired or inactive from involvement in the sport that brought him or her attention; (e) the manner in which an athlete is or was involved in sport; (f) gender; (g) race; (h) sexual orientation; or (i) religious beliefs or cultural practices.
To be inducted into the Alaskas Sports Hall of Fame, a Moment must have brought positive attention especially but not exclusively to the state of Alaska and its people. Moments will be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame based on consideration of the degree of positive impact the Moment had on the state of Alaska and its people. To be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, a Moment shall (a) have occurred during a sports-related activity or event; (b) have had a clearly defined beginning and end; (c) have occurred more than five years previous to the time of induction. No consideration shall be given to the location where the Moment occurred.
To be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, an Event must have distinguished itself in a manner that brought positive attention to itself, the community, the State of Alaska and its people. Events will be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame based on the consideration of the degree of positive impact the Event has had on the State of Alaska and its people. To be inducted into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, an Event shall (a) have, or have had, an official organizing body and clearly defined objectives; (b) occur, or have occurred,
at least annually, (c) have occurred at least annually for a period of five (5) years or more, and (d) occur, or have occurred, in Alaska in at least one-third of the times it has occurred.
