Comments Regarding the 2011 Ceremony and Selection
- I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this years event. It was stellar... Well done and as always I'm glad to have come.

Steve Waldron (Marcie Trent's son) - Compliments to you, the Board of Directors and the Selection Panel of the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame for another fine job in selecting the two 2011 inductees for induction into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame. The task was indeed most difficult and this is very evident when surveying the list of the 40 people on the ballot. My heartiest congratulations to the two inductees. They are among the happiest people in Alaska today. Again, thanks for all your hard work.

- I believe that you are doing an incredible job with this bog. Three of the athletes featured are alumni from Juneau-Douglas and I try to stay up on how they are doing, but through the hustle and bustle of daily life I was unaware of their most recent accomplishments. I found a link to this web site through another blog spot called alaskapreps.com. In any case, It is great to see all of the Alaskans representing their respective high schools in such fine fashion. Thank you for enlightening our sports-crazed state with this information.

Comments Regarding the 2010 Ceremony
- Thank you so very, very much for a simply extraordinary stay and event! We all had a wonderful time meeting everyone and hearing the acceptance speeches. What a lovely gathering of gracious people. I only wish I could have visited longer with each person.

I did get teary, as you probably noticed, standing by my parents photo. I was very moved and knew how proud Dad would have been to have been there.

Chris Clifford, Vice President and Principal Business Relationship Manager - Dude, that ceremony was so cool. I've been bragging about it to everybody who will listen. That night left an impact on me and I will never forget it. It's something everybody should see because the athletes let their guards down and unveil their true personalities. It was epic and we both loved it.
I'm really impressed with how fast you have gotten this whole thing off the ground. It's already a first-class organization. You guys deserve big ups.

Janie Leask, Daughter of Wally Leask - What a wonderful event! Wow, and the turnout was terrific. This is really a terrific asset to this community because Alaska has produced some amazing sports figures. Red was so happy we got him there and talks about it everyday.

- I sobbed through the whole awards night for the pure goodness of humankind as represented by each that came up on the stage and for the work, dedication and vision it took to create such an award. I know it has to be an inspiration and make a difference to Alaskans!
- I wanted to comment that as I sat there with my 14 year old daughter and listened to everyone's unbelievably inspiring speeches I had hoped my daughter was finding this just as inspiring. And yes, she was also very moved by the whole experience.
- Beautiful job last night. Great program, great inductees, and great presentations.

Anchorage Office of the Mayor - The ceremony last night was outstanding. I had a chance to meet one of my heroes and made some new friendships. Again thank you, hopefully one day in the future I may get a chance to stand on that podium and give my story.
- I attended the Alaska Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Tuesday night and felt privileged to be in the same room with those inductees. What a fabulous group of highly deserving athletes! Kudos to the Board of Directors & the Inductee Selection Panel for a job well done.

- It was a great event, in all respects. You and the other members of your organization should be quite proud of what you have accomplished in honoring these individuals and events. Well done.
- My mom and I had a BLAST last Friday at the inaugural induction! What a treat to hear from George Attla, Libby Riddles, etc. Usually, I fall asleep during speeches and awards stuff but I was smiling ear-to-ear during the whole event. THANKS! GREAT JOB!!!!
